Stealing the Sky
Stealing the Sky (2025) is a Canadian tragicomic ensemble film that blends comedy and drama. The story centers on a group of tenants living in a rundown warehouse loft that is about to be demolished as development overtakes the city. With cranes and half-built towers “stealing the sky” around them, each character—facing eviction, broken relationships, financial hardship, or fragile dreams—navigates survival, connection, and resilience. What begins with separate lives slowly becomes a mosaic of humor, heartbreak, and human vulnerability as the building’s demolition date draws near.
