Fureru
Fureru (ふれる。), literally meaning “Touch,” is a Japanese animated drama with supernatural elements directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and written by Mari Okada. The story centers on three childhood friends — Aki, Ryō, and Yūta — who grew up on a small island. As children they discover a mysterious creature called Fureru, resembling a yellow-tailed hedgehog, whose magical power lets them connect emotionally and hear each other’s inner thoughts when they touch. Now in their twenties living together in Tokyo’s Takadanobaba district, the trio continues to rely on Fureru’s ability, but deeper hidden powers and unresolved feelings test their friendship as they face life, relationships, and the tension between communication and understanding.
