Silent Night
Directed by John Woo, Silent Night (2023) follows Brian Godlock (Joel Kinnaman) whose young son is tragically killed in a drive-by shooting on Christmas Eve. Brian is shot in the throat, losing his ability to speak. Over the course of a year, he trains intensely and plans a ruthless mission of revenge. On Christmas Eve, he tracks down the gang members responsible—and enacts his vengeance in a nearly dialogue-free film where visuals, sound effects, and music do the storytelling.
